Description
True story...
This is the living room of a place I actually lived in back in 1982-84 in Elmira, NY.
That door to the left leads to the dining room and kitchen.
Well, the wooden floor at that door was very warped. To the point of being unable to close the door all the way.
The door would jam up on the floor tight, and would remain open about a foot. Wouldn't budge.
One night,
five of us were sitting around the living room when we saw the door swing open then close by itself.
All the way closed. (but not latching)
It did it a couple times, then stopped.
We all looked at each other and said "Did you see that?"
We'd all seen it. We couldn't believe that we'd all seen it. We went to the door to check it out.
Floor still warped, and door still jamming up on the floor and not closing.
True story.
EDIT:
I forgot to mention that we all felt strange vibes at the top of those stairs
all the time. Never thought twice about it, really, until the door closed!
The house was built in 1890, a half block away from the notorious Elmira Civil War POW camp.

EDIT - 5/21/17
I didn't remember until this morning that it was this house where I found the book "Error's Chains"

ahaha wow you did a real cool investigation! So the prison camp explain all.
and of course cool work!
I remember i understood this "mechanism".....i mean events associated to specific places....thanks the first 2 seasons of Ghost adventures with Zak Bagans! I knew were fake bullcraps but i was fascinated by the stories of the various places and also because they were great to create cinematic effects like a movie + interesting sound effects!
For this reason i wasn't surprised of this recent news about Zak....
